Risking the Fall * Rischiare la caduta

Wandering around with no real place to go
Something keeps me locked inside an invisible cage
Probably some kind of promised dream with no tangible shape.
Trees swaying softly listening ‐ perhaps ‐ to some lullaby
that no human ear could ever advert even with a cry.
A sunflower looking for the one and only sun to catch
the one to stay by its side forever.
But it's only the sun and it cannot reach it
even if it stretches out as much as it can.
Once a lonely heron in the sky flew round killing time
She saw a lovely swan looking her way
Feeling fear rising in her chest to another place she broke away
Somewhere kids blow old white dandelions
spreading the small laughing parachutes in the air.
I feel like an old confined vagabond.
I fly back again to the place I simply call home.
Something catches my eye and it's the swan I once saw.
No time for fear now, no time to linger.
Sometimes it's worth risking the fall.

Girovagando senza nessun posto particolare dove andare
spargendo piccoli ridenti paracaduti nell'aria.
